Visually impressive, radically easy to handle and extremely eager to learn: MBUX Hyperscreen is one of the most important elements in EQS.
Introduced in 2018 in the current A-Class, more than 1.8 million Mercedes-Benz passenger cars are equipped with this system on roads around the world. Outside the division also relies on MBUX. A few months ago, the second generation of this learning-capable system debuted in the new S-Class. The next big step now follows in the form of the new EQS and the optionally available MBUX Hyperscreen.
“With our MBUX Hyperscreen, the design vision becomes a reality,” says Gorden Wagener, Daimler Group’s Chief Design Officer.
“We combine technology and design in a fascinating way that offers the customer unprecedented ease of use. We love simplicity, so now we have reached a new level of MBUX ”
Here are four uses. The user can accept or reject the appropriate proposal with just one click:
· If you always invite a certain friend on the way home on a Tuesday night, you will be asked to make an appropriate call that day of the week and at that time of day. A friend’s business card with contact information will appear and – if saved – his / her photo will also appear. All MBUX suggestions are linked to a user profile. If someone else is driving EQS on a Tuesday night, this recommendation is not given – or there is another, depending on the preferences of another user.
· If the EQS driver regularly uses the hot stone massage function in winter, the system learns and automatically suggests this comfortable function at low temperatures.
· If, for example, the user regularly switches on the steering wheel and other seat heating surfaces, this is suggested as soon as he presses the seat heating.
· The EQS chassis can be raised to provide greater ground clearance. Useful function for steep entrances to the garage or “lying cops”. The MBUX remembers the GPS position where the user used the “Vehicle lift” function. If the vehicle approaches the GPS position again, the MBUX automatically proposes to raise the EQS.
