American-Danish designer Henrik Fisker wrote about his electric crossover on Twitter, and now it’s finally unveiled. The Fisker Ocean electric crossover has debuted in Los Angeles, and the company claims its range is 482 km with a single battery charge. The sale will start in 2021 and the crossover will cost $ 37,499.
The ocean uses an 80 kWh battery and should accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in about three seconds. Customers will be able to choose two- and four-wheel drive configurations.
Futuristic, yet luxurious interior, with sustainable materials using recycled plastic bottles from the ocean. Yet, base price of $29,999, with applied $7,500 US tax discount!
The interior design is similar to what we saw in Tesla’s Model Y and Ford’s Mustang Mach-E. The large touch screen is located in the center console, while the smaller one is located behind the steering wheel and functions as a digital instrument cluster.
There are also two wireless chargers and a HUD display that can display the text of the songs that the driver and passengers are listening to.
Haptic buttons are located under the large central screen and through them the user can quickly access the main menu, the volume of the ventilation system, control the temperature and the audio system.
The ocean should also have autonomous driving capabilities, but details are missing for now. Radar on the front of the car is noticeable, and there is a California Mode feature that turns this SUV into an open-air vehicle.
Sales will begin at the end of 2021, but deliveries are not expected before 2022.
