Debuted luxury Jeep Grand Cherokee L

Jeep has offered its customers an SUV that should satisfy both the demands for more space in the passenger cabin and the demands for a luxurious interior. With this model, Jeep has definitely “satisfied” all the wishes of its customers.

The Grand Cherokee L has a different exterior design than the regular Grand Cherokee , which will be sold in parallel with its bigger “brother” for now. The new SUV is stylistically reminiscent of the 2020 Grand Wagoneer concept, especially when looking at the front of the vehicle.

The new Jeep model has a length of 5,204 mm and a wheelbase of 3,091 mm, the Grand Cherokee L offers just enough space for three rows of seats and 7 adult passengers.

In the configuration with all seven upright backrests, the volume of the trunk is slightly less than 500 liters, and when the third row of seats is laid, you get a huge 1,300 liters.

The interior is quite different from the standard version of the Grand Cherokee model, and a look inside the vehicle reveals that Jeep used expensive and quality materials for the passenger cabin. The dashboard is brand new, with a centrally placed, large screen with a 10.1-inch multimedia system. In cheaper versions, the display is smaller (8.4 inches). A standard piece of equipment is a digital instrument panel with a 10.3-inch screen.

The Grand Cherokee L can be ordered with 18-20-inch diameter wheels, and among the many optional options is a premium McIntosh audio system with 19 speakers.

The motorization currently consists of two known powertrains. The smaller, 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 delivers 290 hp and 348 Nm, and there’s also the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 357 hp and 529 Nm. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic as standard. In the basic version, power is transmitted to the front wheels, while all-wheel drive is available as an option.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee L arrives in American showrooms in the middle of 2021, and the price has not been announced yet.

For comparison, the current Jeep Grand Cherokee with two rows of seats starts at $ 37,765, so we should expect a slightly higher starting price for a bigger and more luxurious “L”.
