Successful musician Dino Sose: You can be a co-author in both Sydney and Capljina

Dino Sose is a well-known name for the Mostar music scene, but for many years he lives in Austria where he runs a successful business and treats music as an expensive hobby. It is in this freedom, not to live from music but for her, that Sosha creates songs for which she receives compliments from the biggest stars.
He has been living in Austria for the last few years, where he runs a successful business, and returns to Mostar every now and then and tells us that the city on the Neretva is changing as people change.

“You keep in your mind the one who grew up in Mostar and then when you come back you keep looking for him. That quest is always nice, and it’s very nice to come to a place you know perfectly well. Through that perfect acquaintance, that love is maintained. implies, he’s the root in me, ”he tells us at the beginning of the conversation.

He tells us that locality is not crucial for a musician, but a knowledge of playing the instrument and his native language.

“You can be a Mostar singer in both Sydney and Capljina, and the combination of these lives, different places and travels is a beautiful thing. Carrying more identities in yourself, after some conflicts, can only enrich you. It is rich when you feel at home in more cities. , and I feel that way in Vienna, Munich, Mostar, here in Sarajevo … Last weekend I was in Belgrade, we were shooting a video. On the third day I started saying goodbye to the people in the bakery, “he told us.

Dean was enrolled by his parents at the Music School at the age of six, and he tells us that he wanted it. He started playing the violin, but as an “extreme leftist” he was transferred to the piano. He started singing as a child on a hotel terrace in Peljesac.

“I never made a career in music, but love. At Tenth Elementary, I had a band where I played keyboards. When my friend Jesa went into the military, I played keyboards in Shakespeare, a then-famous band in Mostar. Somewhere in the war. I started playing keyboards in the Stonemasons, a famous Mostar group that didn’t have a keyboardist at the time, “he recalled.

Dino then had his own song called “Mostar”, and today, as the greatest compliment ever received, he singles out the words of Hare Ovcina, who once told him in the midst of war devastation: “And this will pass once, if you sang in the Stones “. As he later took his life’s journey to Munich, he continued to perform in cafes and discos until 2010.

“Relaxing from the counter and getting back to the instrument and dealing with music happened to me on the first song of my first album – ‘The Next Night Two,'” Soshe tells us, adding that his first album of the interesting name “Anhedonia” went very well.

He tells us that he did not hear any negative reactions, that the production was done superbly, especially since there is no classical pop in our scene.

“Pure pop is quite rare in our country. When you say pop, you usually think of modern folk today, and actual pop is quite rare in our country. Many people ask me for the name ‘Anhedonia’, which is one of the symptoms of depression. he can’t feel and accept anything nice from disappointment, “he explained.

The new album, which is in the making, is more positive and will be released on February 9th. It should be called “Four Love Ages” and the first song is dedicated to Dina’s father and is called “Father’s Song”.

“Biographically, I have the privilege of being able to engage in music without taking into account how much it will be listened to, accepted or paid for. So this album is not made by prescription, but from the soul. This is quite an autobiographical engagement in music … Of course it is “Glad to be more widely accepted, but if you don’t have the burden of being accepted, then you’re pretty free. Being free and being in these times is quite a luxury,” he told us.

At the end of the conversation, we returned to Mostar, some new Mostar and its people, whom Dino now meets for the first time.

“It is possible for Mostar people to make a new Mostar, but they do not need to build it as Mostar, but as citizens. Only citizens can make a nicer city, no matter what its name is. In a city where you are not a citizen there is no perspective, I don’t mean the relationship between the village and the city, “Dino Sose told us at the end.
